John Lester Nash Jr. was natural August 19, 1940 in Houston, Texas, USA.

Nash began as a pop singer in the 1950s. He became famed for singing a theme song for "The Mighty Hercules" cartoon. His large hit was "I Can See Clearly Now" around 1972. He was an early supporter of so unknown reggae star Bob Marley and recorded his "Stir It Up."

He was endure active as a composer in the Swedish romance Vill så gärna tro 1971 in which he portrayed Robert.
